Despite having another suspension, the Cowboys trust in Randy Gregory. Things have been fascinating for the Dallas Cowboys when it comes to a protective end this offseason. They've dealt with some issues as they continue to be working on a deal with DeMarcus Lawrence, but they recently traded for Robert Quinn.
Now they have made an additional move. The Cowboys possess struck an extension with at least one of the pass rushers so far, Randy Gregory.
A day after acquiring Robert Quinn last week, the #Cowboys quietly prolonged suspended DE Randy Gregory’ t contract through 2020. $310K associated with existing 2019 salary converted to putting your signature on bonus. Added year worth $735K, more with an escalator. The team provides stayed hopeful Gregory plays within 2019. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 2, 2019
Of course, Gregory is suspended indefinitely at the moment, the newest of the suspensions that have plagued their short career so far. The Cowboys have been nothing but supportive of Gregory ever since he entered the and the fact that they would offer your pet an extension is certainly not shocking for the reason that regard.
Gregory was a second-round choose in 2015 which means that, had this individual not had any off-the-field problems, he would actually be up for a new offer this offseason. Obviously things have got gotten a bit convoluted thanks to the final four years, but either way, he’ s locked down through 2020.
It says an awful lot that the Cowboys would extend Gregory given conditions of his place within them. As Pelissero notes they stay optimistic that he will play this season.
